Background Informations:
On November 26, 2007, China National Space Administration officially released the first picture of the moon captured by "Chang'e-1", which has symbolized China's full success of the first moon probe project and makes China one of the few countries with space exploration capacity. It is an important embodiment of China's comprehensive national strength, independent innovation capability and ever-increasing scientific and technological level.
The moon is the closest planet to the earth. Human being has been enchanted by it for thousands of years. "Chang'e" flying to the moon and Wanhu trying to fly by the help of technology are dreams of the Chinese nation. There are countless poems and essays in praise and admiration of the moon in the treasure trove of Chinese culture. The moon probe project is the third milestone of China's astronautics development after artificial satellite and manned spaceflight. "Chang'e-1" is the first moon probe satellite developed, manufactured and launched independently by China. In the evening of October 24th, the satellite was successfully launched. On November 7th, after the third adjustment, the satellite entered into the orbit which is 200 kilometers away from the moon and circled the moon every 127 minutes. It then started the first moon probe mission and sent back the first image data of the moon, which was then transformed into 3D picture. The success of the moon probe project
began to materialize the millennium's dream of the Chinese people to fly to the moon, and has fully demonstrated to the world that the Chinese people have lofty aspiration, are confident and capable to continuously write new chapters on the way climbing high peaks of modern science and technology. The Chinese nation is able to stand rock-solid among the advanced nations in the world!
